WHY WE CHOSE INDIA
Care to Action has been working in India for over 25 years. Despite the fact that the Indian GDP is one of the highest in the world, almost one third of the world’s poorest individuals live in India. According to OECD, 21% of Indian people live below the poverty line, which means they survive with less than $1.90 per day. These data illustrate that India is the country in South East Asia with the highest poverty-stricken population.
WHAT WE DO IN PRACTICE

DISTANCE SUPPORT
With less than €1 per day, you can change the life of an Indian underprivileged child or teenager, offering him/her access to high-quality education.

PROJECTS
Give your support to Care to Action, which operates in favour of the most vulnerable communities of southern India.
DEEPLY ROOTED PROJECTS

WE ENSURE HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATION UP TO UNIVERSITY
Distance support is an act of solidarity which enables a sponsor (individual, family, group of friends, school, company) to sustain a child or teenager in need, through a regular economic contribution.
Engaging in distance support with Care to Action means primarily investing in education. We believe education to be the most efficient method for social promotion. Only though high-quality education it is possible to overcome poverty and, therefore, lead an independent and conscious life.

SOCIAL STATUS

AS TRANSPARENT AS OUR CHILDREN’S EYES
In 2008 Care to Action has started publishing its Social Report, in order to make the organization’s management more transparent to our supporters. In the Social Report you can find an overview of Care to Action’s history, the explanation of the organisational structure, the description of our activities and complete analysis of the yearly balance.
